Campus Fall Festival, 10:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 29

Penn State New Kensington’s fourth annual Fall Festival, a community event geared to local residents, as well as students and alumni, is set to run from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, Sept.29, spread over the campus' 72 acres.

Highlighting the festival is a free outdoor concert series running from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. Four bands will perform a variety of music throughout the afternoon and into the evening. Country music fiddler Chris Higbee, founding member of the Povertyneck Hillbillies, is slated for the 4 p.m. slot on the main stage in the upper parking lot. The three remaining slots are in the process of being finalized.

Other festival events will include food vendors, a motorcycle rally, bed races, children's activities, and an alumni tent.
