Who gunned down the toughest and hairiest sheriff in the old West? That's what audience members will have to figure out at Penn State New Kensington's interactive murder mystery dinner theater, "'Montana Marie Gets Gunned Down at Three," at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, April 3, in the campus' Cafe 780.
The performance harkens back to the Old West in the 1800s. Set in the Horny Toad Saloon in the frontier town of Camel Rock, the Toad’s denizens are all suspects as the sheriff is fitted for a pine suit. Was it the nattily-dressed saloon girl with raspy voice; or the stereotypical bandito with the faux Mexican accent; maybe the banal deputy with a mouthful of Wild West clichés; or it could be the ubiquitous singing cowboy with leather chaps and a velvet throat, whose dapper ensemble includes an acoustic guitar slung over the left shoulder and a Colt .45 in the right hand. The cast, Mystery's Most Wanted, will help the audience posse track down the villain.
Tickets are $5 for students with ID, $10 for faculty and staff, and $15 for the general public. Price includes dinner and the theater performance. To reserve your seat, contact Lauren Blum, student life coordinator, at 724- 334-6063 or ldb14@psu.edu
